In questa nuova messa in scena de Il misantropo di Molière, Andrée Shammah, insieme a Luca Micheletti e Valerio Magrelli, offre una versione fresca e contemporanea dell’opera, concentrata sul potere della parola e della sua musicalità. Fausto Cabra interpreta Alceste, un uomo solitario, vestito di scuro, circondato da personaggi in colori pastello che simboleggiano una società diversificata nella forma ma omogenea nella sostanza. La storia esplora la "disperata vitalità" di un uomo che, pur vedendo la follia della società, è incapace di comunicare liberamente a causa delle sue passioni. È una commedia tragica e umanissima, che affronta il tema dell'incomunicabilità, dell'isolamento e della tensione tra ideali e realtà.
