Le cinque protagoniste della Compagnia Piccolo Canto danno corpo e voce ad Artemisia, ai suoi dipinti e ai personaggi che l’hanno circondata, ammirata, umiliata, amata, offesa. Il suo mondo sonoro è affidato a suoni e voci polifonici perfettamente fusi con la drammaturgia che integra testi autografi di Artemisia e atti processuali riguardanti la sua vicenda. L’esito in scena è un affresco composto di luci ed ombre, come in ogni dipinto di Artemisia, dove è condensata in una manciata di centimetri tutta la complessità della natura umana. Perché ‘nulla esiste nella vita che l’arte non abbia già segnato’.
